I Finally Graduated!

It was a fantastic whirlwind weekend. My favorite part was being around so many friends and family. Of course it was also nice to have that enormous feeling of accomplishment. The fru-its of my labor so to speak. Thirdly, I received many lovely notes and gifts. Of special interest here is a gift from Meghan:

I don't think you can read it, but it is engraved "Cakes, Pharm.D" and I love it. Thanks to everyone who made the weekend special.

Super Fantastic!

Mom and I went to Philadelphia on Monday and got back last night. Our primary objective was to find an apartment. I found one I like and put an application in on it! It is being renovated right now, so everything will be completely new by move-in. New carpet, tile, appliances. Plus there are a couple of places to chain my beloved scooter. Mad props to Dad for being a mechanical genius and fixing my scooter. It is as good as it ever was. I went on a long joyride last night.

Besides apartment hunting, we had a little time for fun (not enough). The King Tut exhibition is in Philadelphia; its last stop before heading to Europe. It wasn't exactly what we expected (not much from King Tut himself) but we enjoyed it. We got to see enough to know what we want to do next time in Philadelphia. The Reading Terminal Market is very cool. Next time we will have to spend more time there.

Most interesting meal: Afghani. Mom has the best ideas. We got carry-out from "Kabul" and ate it in the park. Delicious! It tastes something like a cross between Middle Eastern and Indian. Highly recommended.
