Weekend Plans
On Monday night I went to Parliament Pub to meet other foreign students. Officially, they meet at 10:00. Problem was, I didn't know who "they" are. I didn't know who I was looking for. In the mean time, some really nice Slovenian girls invited me to sit with them. We all hit it off really well, and I hung out again with them and 3 more of their friends last night. All of them are from the Slovenian coast which is really convenient for me because I was already planning to visit there. Also convenient is the fact that most of them are going home this weekend and I can probably get a ride. I'm really looking forward to it. One of the towns I want to go to, Piran, is known as little Venice as it has similar architecture. Look for pictures next week.
It struck me the other day that I have not met a single American since I've been in Slovenia. Not even another native English speaker. I think this is a good thing, even if it is more challenging. When I was in Prague I spent almost all of my time with Americans, which was probably what I needed at the time, but it made for a different experience.

Wow, that is one of the advantages/disadvantages of being in a place that isn't as big of a tourist trap, I suppose.
Sounds like you're having fun though.
