Corn Maze

Mimi, Ro and I wanted to do something cool last night and, as is too often the case, we were having a shortage of awesome ideas. I was daydreaming in class (again) and thought, "Corn Maze!!" It's something I've always wanted to do. Plus it's Fall now and it seemed like a good way to welcome the new season. Missy and Ro agreed. So we set off to look for a maze of maize on 15th street headed towards Eudora. We came across several closed pumpkin patches, but no open Maze. There was a sign advertising a "Haunted Maze" but it was sadly closed. And it looked rather UN-haunted. We amused ourselves by putting the word haunted in front of almost any word for awhile before heading back to Lawrence. Keep going past the haunted basketball hoop, left at the haunted propane tank and you're there.

We went to McDonald's for some consolation fries/ice cream. There in front of register was a flyer for "Gary's Berries Fall Festival" which includes a corn maze. Gary's berries. Hehe. We'll have to try again on another haunted evening.

I've included a couple pics. The first is Mimi with the sweeet flyer, then a motion shot of an evil Ro. "Just because you have a soul, you think you're better than me?!"

  • see, there you go. Spontanaity (whew, butchered that word) can be fun. If in doubt just as gary (Gary's berries, wow-that's hilarious on SO many levels) about the impromptu nebraska road trip.
